The Theodora von Auersperg International Foundation invites you to join forces and “Save a Soul”!
Will You Lend a Helping Hand or Paw?
Princess Theodora von Auersperg had not given much thought to the plight of our furrier friends, until upon a chance visit at a local animal agency a woman grasped her arm and pleaded, “Please, you must save a soul today!” At that very moment a pair of curious green eyes wrapped in a coat of soft black fur and a gentle soul pierced the heart of a princess.
‘Prince’, a feisty little black cat, was the first of seven feline friends that enjoyed the warmth and compassion of Theodora and her husband Michel and filled hearts with unconditional love for animals and children. The mission of the Foundation – is to offer resource for the rescue, protection and care of animals and children in need by offering all net proceeds from the foundation’s fund raising activities and events toward charities that support the humane treatment of animals and animal rescue operations and protection and care for children in need.

Our Philosophy
The motivation behind our cause is purely a loving one and comes straight from our heart. All we care about is to raise more awareness about the importance of humane treatment, respect, care and love toward all animals and innocent children and the many blessings that come with inviting and making them part of our lives. Animal rescue, prevention of animal abuse and animal and children neglect are our top priorities. We do not pursue at all any specific agenda to convert mankind to a vegetarian or vegan diet, neither do we condemn people wearing furs or leather goods. Nobody is perfect. All it matters is that you have your heart in the right place.
Meet Some of Our Friends:
One agency that has particularly caught the attention of Princess Theodora is “HOPE for LIFE RESCUE” in Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA. This “urban sanctuary” for abandoned, abused, neglected and left-behind-street animals, has been offering a safe, compassionate, and loving place for animals desperately in need of a home and people who will love them. With no set adoption fee, this non-profit organisation operates on donations, used to insure all their animals come with complete medical package which includes all tests, shots, and spay/neuter.
AUSTRIA
Neunerhaus is one of well organized go to place for homeless and their needs in Vienna. It also takes care of the needs and provides veterinary care for their faithful pets.
Gut Aiderbichl is one of the best organised, acknowledged and well respected animal sanctuaries in Austria, located in Salzburg.
Sterntalerhof, located in Burgenland, Austria, is a hospice which cares for families with children suffering from a life-limiting illness, even – and especially when – on the path of these families lies the farewell to a loved one ahead.

Hearts just naturally open up to whole new dimensions of love and joy when animals and children are brought into the home. Their unconditional love brings us closer to nature and what really matters in life. These little angels – healers here on earth – are here to mend the human heart with their love and companionship.
This compassion is not necessarily universal, and is why we’re trying to help those that help animals and children find the care, protection and love they richly deserve.
